 Today what we're gonna do is install Windows 10 on a VM, join that to a domain and some other things so let's get started. First thing's first is to download the Windows 10 ISO file which can be downloaded  here.   I've already explained how to download the ISO file from the installation media from my first  blog  but I will just paste it here just for the sake of it:  For home Windows, download the installation media and make an ISO file off of it. First thing that we have to do is install a Windows 10 virtual machine on VirtualBox. The process for it is basically the same thing when we made a VM with Windows Server 2016 so there's no point in bringing it up all over again and you can just go back to the previous blog that I did which I already linked.  This is a follow up from the previous blog were we renamed our computer and server and installed Active Directory on our virtual machine. If you haven't checked the previous one out, I advise you to go read it  here  and the one before that as well. Since we've already dealt with Active Directory installation and its other intricacies, I would like to show you a little bit of things that you could do and I would like to make it as straightforward and short as possible so let's get started. First thing's first is to open VirtualBox, run the Windows Server OS that we installed, and log in your account. Since we created Active Directory services and everything, now we want to make a brand new account. Just a heads up, it's not gonna be your regular account.  Back from where we left off, we are about to install Active Directory on our virtual machine and rename the 2016 server. If you haven't set up VirtualBox and the Windows server yet, I advise you to go look up the previous blog post on how to do them which I will link  here. Now we open VirtualBox and run the Windows server 2016 then log in your password. First thing that we have to do is go to our PC's properties and check our computer name and change it to something more readable.  If you check our computer name, it's sort of gibberish and we can't remember that and that's something that we have to think about for now because we have to map things out. Next thing you'll do is change the name for your PC. First, click the Change Settings link, then click on the Change button once the window pops out, and then change the name at the Computer Name textbar.  This is going to be one of my first post on setting up a home lab for Help Desk experience or even besides that, it's a good hands-on experience when you're trying to start your IT journey.  First thing is you have to download some type of virtual machine program to start off with and it could be any type whether it's VMware or VirtualBox(I prefer this one as a starting point). Then after that, we will have to download the ISO file for the OS' that we will be using which is Windows Server 2016  (here)  and a home or personal Windows ISO file  (here) as a host computer. HINT: For home Windows, download the installation media and make an ISO file off of it. Another thing that we have to check on is whether you have the specs or enough memory to run a virtual machine. 2GB of RAM is enough for one virtual machine though I would recommend adding 1 or 2 GB of RAM if your computer can handle it(I have 16 GB of RAM on my laptop so I have to be at least cautious).
